"Cuddly Crochet: Adorable Toys, Hats, and More" Review

Over the weekend Hubs, Little Bit, Mommy in Law, and I went to Hobby Lobby. I love that place. I ended up in the book section as usual. Funny that in a huge craft store I always seem to end up in the book section.

I am so loving the art of crochet. It's such a wonderful way to keep you hands busy and create things for those you love. If your interested in teaching yourself to crochet here is a link to a post I wrote about how I taught myself to crochet.

I ended up setting my heart on "Cuddly Crochet: Adorable Toys, Hats, and More" by Stacey Trock.  I was drawn to the adorable designs and the simplicity of the patterns. The book also had the skill level posted before each pattern. It was very easy for me to identify which projects are within my reach and which might be a little out of my skill level. I also liked that the book had color photos of each project in it's finished form.

I got to work on the first pattern. It required only three colors of yarn, a crochet hook, and a tapestry needle. I am not the fastest at crocheting so this little bird took me about three hours to complete. He is pretty adorable. I am really pleased with how well he came out.

"Cuddly Crochet" is a wonderful little book. The patterns are adorable and perfect for the special baby in your life. The bird that I made is going to be a present for my baby in Ethiopia. Making toys for my sweet baby is going to be how I pass the time until we are able to bring home Sissy from Ethiopia. If you like crochet and have a baby to pamper I highly suggest you get a copy of "Cuddly Crochet" for your library.

Disclaimer: I received no monetary compensation for this review. I liked the book and wanted to share it with you.
