Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a terrific weekend. We were blessed enough to have a perfectly fabulous weekend. Hubs and I had our very first evening out since Little Bit was born on Saturday night. My parents came down and baby sat for the price of one supreme pizza. Hubs and I went to game night hosted by some folks in our Sunday morning Bible study. We had such a great time and had to tear ourselves away when our allotted babysitting hours were up. It was nice to see friends and spend time with Hubs.
On Sunday we had Little Bits first birthday party. It was a huge hit. Our house was bursting at the seems. I am going to get the pictures downloaded and put up a proper birthday party post tomorrow. I never knew throwing a birthday party was so exhausting. I slept like a log and that is a blessing from God.
I hope you all had a great weekend and thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and say hello. Happy Monday!!
Time out without the kids is SO important. I still remember the first night out I had with my husband after I had my first son so clearly. After all the "baby" stuff, it was nice to reconnect with him over dinner....ALONE. lol.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't kidding. It only took us a year to get out. You think we are a wee bit overprotective, lol!

ReplyDeleteoh how i miss the ALONE moments with husband. thanks for reminding.
I am glad though that you get to enjoy. Time with kids is awesome but it is also important to keep the fire alive ;)

ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteI came close to tears. It is so hard to say goodbye to the baby phase and hello to toddlerhood. Snuggles are more like containment. Le sigh... Thanks for stopping by!
