On Sunday afternoon we had Little Bit's first birthday party. It was a raging success. Our little home was filled to the gills with loving family and friends. You'd think hubs and I waited ten years to fulfill these peoples wish of us having a child. Oh wait, we did.
Of course the teacher in me decided to do a birthday theme based on a book. We had a Very Hungry Caterpillar Party. I based all the food on what the caterpillar ate which made planning what to serve a breeze. I bought the cake for his head because of past cake disasters and hubs and I mad a zillion cupcakes. We decorated everything except the red icing on the bakery cake ourselves.
Watching Little Bit eat that cake was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. No joke. It was hilarious.
God has given us such a wonderful child. He was so worth the wait!
