Happy Homemaker

The weather in my neck of the woods:
The sun is shining but it is still pretty chilly out. The Robins are coming back home so I am hopeful for warmer weather soon!

One of my simple pleasures:
Chocolates from Fudgeluscious that I won at Leslie Loves Veggies and am LOVING!

On my bedside table:
pacifier, burp cloth, nursing pads, you know Momma stuff ;D

On my TV:
The internet. We don't have TV anymore so my television serves as my monitor.

On the menu for tonight:
I don't know yet. Rachel may be coming over and bringing food!

On my To Do List:
Kiss and hug Little Bit, laundry

New Recipe I tried last week:
blueberry bread and it sure was tasty

In the craft basket:
a pair of pants that need to be hemmed and a poor doll that is not looking to good.

Looking forward to:
Small group Bible study. Hopefully we can take Little Bit for the first time on Friday!

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Snuggling babies is more important than sweeping the floor. As my Mom tells me that broom will be the same in ten years, that baby will only be a baby for a short time. When he wants to snuggle I stop what I am doing and we snuggle <3

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
He Said, She Said by Scary Mommy

favorite picture of last week:
Little Bit in his pink chair

Lesson learned the past few days:
Slow down and listen to the Lord.

On my Prayer List:
My baby boy. That he would grow to be healthy physically, mentally, and most importantly spiritually.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
We are finishing up A Long Obedience in The Same Direction by Eugene Peterson. I highly recommend it. It will challenge you to reassess your Christian life and help guide you toward a life long pilgrimage that ends in heaven. I love Peterson's writing style on theology. He has a wonderful way with words.

  1. I love those little seats they have now for babies! They never had those when my boys where small! Following you from the Friday hop. And no regifting is not bad, if you can't use it, why not give to someone that can:) Have a great weekend!
