Adoption: Homestudy Part Deux

Our wonderful social worker came by today and did the actual work of looking over our house. He went through the whole house and made sure our home is suitable for our sweet Sissy to live here. We got the thumbs up!

Now, he will compose a document for our adoption agency, CWA. Hubs and I are now in the process of finishing up the paperwork for our adoption agency that will accompany the homestudy paperwork. Next we move on to filling out another round of paperwork that will be submitted to the Ethiopian government. Then we get on a waiting list!

Can I get a woot, woot? It's starting to feel so real. I have been having dreams about holding my daughter in my arms. I remember this same kind of feeling when I was pregnant with Little Bit. All I wanted to do was hold him. The waiting for him to come was driving me crazy and that was only nine months, le sigh.

As you can imagine there has been lots of frantic cleaning going on around here. My house looks great! If you want to drop in for a visit now is the time ;D

  7. Woot! Woot! I have tears just thinking of the sweet experience coming your way! My sister and daughter both have adopted and I feel waiting to get that special baby is even harder then going through a 9 month pregnancy. HUGS

A clean house is definitely something to show off.
