Holiday Outdoor Decor at #Sears! #CBais

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I have been begging Hubs to put up our Christmas tree and lights for weeks now. I love getting so excited about Christmas. I remember literally squealing in delight when I would see houses with tons of Christmas lights on. It just gives me so much joy.

Yesterday dear Hubs braved the cold temperatures and went into the attic to get my tree and our outdoor lights. Well when I was pregnant I must have donated almost all of my outdoor decorations. GASP!

Last year we were just so tired from almost a year of no sleeping through the night that was were lucky we even put up the tree so I had no idea how very few lights were actually left after my purging.

When I opened the box I asked Hubs "is this all of them?" He confirmed that was indeed all of them. Now that I am back in my right mind I knew we had to make a trip to Sears for some outdoor lights.

This morning I loaded the fam up and we made a pilgrimage to Sears. Little Bit had so much fun looking at all of the outdoor Christmas decor. It was a joy to watch him be amazed.

Probably the funniest part of the trip was when he crawled into a recliner as we tried to leave.

Hubs worked really hard when we got home. He cleaned the gutters and put up all of the lights. Even Little Bit helped by pushing the old lights to the front yard so I could put them on the evergreens.

Here is the finished result.

Not to shabby if I do say so myself. We are the first on the block to have our outdoor Christmas lights up! Where is your favorite place to shop for outdoor Christmas decor? Have you ever seen the great bargains and selection they have at Sears? When do you put up your tree and lights?

This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias. #CBias I really did want new lights and I am happy to share my experiences with all of you, so all the opinions in this story are my very own.

  1. Nice! If I could, I would have Christmas music playing year round, but my hubby can't stand Christmas anything until after Thanksgiving, so we're waiting another week. But then, my friend, our decor will be out asap :). Love all the lights and how festive you are!

PS If you don't mind my asking, what is Collective Bias? I've seen it on several blogs and have no idea how you even get involved in it?

  8. Love the lights on the little trees!! I still love looking at Christmas lights every year. We used to drive around when I was little and now we try to drive around at least once a year with the kids. We're probably going to have to get some new lights soon, I'll check out Sears!! Thanks for the idea!
