Adoption

As long as I can remember I have wanted to adopt. I never even wanted a biological child. The Lord has put it on my heart for a very long time. Hubs was not to hot on the idea at first. He wanted a biological child first. I finally relented and we had our beautiful Little Bit.

Now Little Bit is almost 18 months old and it is time to be thinking of a brother or sister for him. Hubs has been listening to an audio book on adoption and he is very excited to start the process.

Last week we emailed and adoption agency. It doesn't look like it will be the one we are going to use but it is a start! We are now in the process of praying. Praying for the Lord to show us the way financially. Praying about where to adopt from and praying about which adoption agency to use.

If you know of any great agencies please pass them along to me. Also I am asking for prayer. Prayer that we open our hearts and listen to the Lord. I am so excited and scared at the same time. I love it when something you have wanted and prayed for such a long time starts to happen. Have a blessed weekend everyone!

  1. Thrilled to hear your heart on adoption and how he is leading, not only you, but your husband in that direction. We had 2 bios. Then adopted our daughter 10 years later. She is our delight. We know that God's hand will be w/ you as you mover forward in the process. Many blessings and all our prayers ~ Jen

  4. Good for you for wantin to adopt! I was adopted by my "new" dad on my 12th birthday. Granted he was a horrible person, but now that I'm older and know people with real, loving families, I think about what a difference that would've made back then. Somewhere in the world a child is in desperate need of a loving home, and you sound like the perfect kind of person to provide it to them! Good luck on your journey!

My aunt and her husband went through Catholic Social Services. They were blessed to adopt twins! Couldn't be more perfect for our family... Amazing!
    Good luck!
