Tweet In my hunt for fabulous giveaways, I ran across a most interesting magazine. It is geared toward preschoolers. Interesting concept eh? I was intrigued so I checked out their website. I looked at a sample magazine online and then delved a little further to find that they base the magazine on the six skills for early literacy. I went back through the online magazine and sure enough, each one was utilized there.
As a teacher I LOVE this concept. What a great way to get your preschooler on the road to literacy? I remember as a child when I would receive things in the mail. I would get so excited. Someone had actually sent ME something. I am pretty sure this kind of excitement would be typical of most preschoolers. What a great tool for parents? You have this awesome magazine that is perfect for early reading skills and comprehension and your child is excited about doing it! Wahoo! You can't ask for more than that.
As most of you know, my first baby is due at the end of January. When I put the link to this magazine, my husband chuckled and said I would have to remember it three years from now. Well my hope is to win a year's subscription to the magazine courtesy of Shop With Me Mama, but if I don't I think I will purchase the magazine and stash them away until Gabriel is old enough to start using them.
