Weight Watchers Weigh In Day: Week Four

I am becoming consistently late about posting, well everything... I have a good excuse though! It's a little thing called life. I've been living it and it's keeping this Momma rather busy. Festival season is in full swing so I have been happily attending every plant festival, carnival, and parade within a 40 mile radius.

I am happy to report that I lost 1 pound last week! That brings my total to 5.8 pounds in one month. I know it isn't the drastic weight loss that others experience but my body really loves being fat. It absolutely refuses to go any faster than this and that's okay. Consistency is key.

I've had so much fantastic support on this journey so far. You, my wonderful bloggy pals are such a source of encouragement. Thank you all so much! Hubs has also been doing this along with me and he is of course loosing oodles of weight and others are starting to notice his shrinkage ;D It makes me so proud to see him count his points every day and take better care of himself. My parents and my church family have also been helping me along. More specifically Ms. Mary who is going to the meetings with me keeps me ever uplifted.

This week I rocked the exercise by playing in the dirt. I am sore from head to toe. I really hope my body catches up soon and gets the memo that this is the new norm. Gardening is my favorite kind of exercise so I am going to keep it up until there is no dirt left to dig!

How is your journey with being more healthy going? Any great healthy recipes you've tried out lately?

  1. Yay!! Good for you. Losing weight is so hard. It is easy to gain but once we have it, it wants to stick with us. My Hubs has a really hard time. Me..... I have always been thin, too thin.

I too have been gardening and it is really hard work. I end up forgetting what time it is and working right through lunch.

  3. yay!! kudos to you and your hubby! :) It's nice that you are losing weight slowly and not drastically as losing weight slowly will give your body enough time to adjust and is really healthier. The festival season has started here too and we are tying to attend to them - especially those that are gastronomic hee hee

  4. girls that starve themselves to look thin are doing more harm than good. Nutrition is the only way to look good and be healthy at the same time. I found this site that has an awesome free training E-Book when you join their newsletter and they highlight nutritional recipes to eat healthy and still have great tasting foods.

  5. Hello I am stopping by from the It's time to mingle blog hop. I have to tell you I have been on a weightloss journey for almost two years now and even though I still have 12lbs to reach my goal. This process has been slow and steady, to me it is more of a lifestyle change than me saying I am on a diet. I always sucked at diets. great job with what you are doing and keep up the good work. Every Friday on my blog I post a Fitness Friday post to recap what I have done during the week. Stop by if you like and check it out.
    I am now following :)

  8. Hey, that's one pound closer to your goal! I think it's awesome that you recognize the way your body works and are able to work with that...I need to be better about my poor garden but the kids keep trampling the plants and they look so pathetic that I lose motivation.

Hope your garden is faring well so far!
