More of the sickness

I am mostly on the mend but now Little Bit is ill and Hubs is starting to show signs of ickiness. What a horrible cycle this is! Little Bit has never had a fever before. He is almost two years old. I know, I've been one lucky Momma. When his fever hit 100 you better believe I was on the phone getting an appointment.

We are so blessed to have a rockin' pediatrician. I absolutely adore him. He is great with Little Bit, very realistic because he has loads of his own kids, and a brother in Christ. We got in right away and Dr. Robertson said Little Bit had double pink eye and an ear infection. It has not been a fun few days in this house.

Little Bit is slowly getting better. He was pretty happy most of today and he actually ate a little something. Now if Hubs can just stave off whatever he has perhaps we wont be a family of disease spreading Grinch's come Christmas morning.

Does this cyclic sickness stuff happen to all of you? Any advice for how to minimize it?

  1. Awww... poor baby. I hate it when little ones get sick. They really can't tell you what is wrong. I hope he gets well soon. Hubs Too!

My Grandson was sick the last time we were there and now I might be getting it. I reall hope not because I just got rid of fungus and this could bring it all back.

  2. It does happen in our family, however, I firmly believe in lots of OJ this time of the year, lots of water and chewable Vitamin C. Feel better sweetie!

  3. Sounds like both of our families need some prayer! We have the flu going around our family right now. My wife and daughter have been sick and so far my other daughter and myself are healthy. I'm just praying I don't get it before surgery next week. I'll be praying for your entire family!

  5. That is a hard one! My pediatrician is a big believer in probiotics to help stay healthy. It just seems like once your immune system is down from one sickness, you catch everything else out there!

  6. Hope your son gets better soon! My son just got over his first "fever" last week, I think it's from being in kindergarten. He had never been sick before starting school. Poor things! I'm now following you via Welcome Wednesday Blog Hop! Please feel free to follow back :) Have a great day!

  8. I can only hope it's not cyclical for us, my daughter (just turned one!) has never been sick until now, and it was 2 days of cleaning her up hourly, poor kiddo. She's on the mend today, but I'm not sure about Christmas if the hubs or I end up with it!!

Following you from Welcome Wednesday - hope you have a minute to drop by Happy Hour Projects and say hello!

  13. I'm spreading healing thoughts and smiles your way. We don't get sick often. We are believers of hand sanitize, we don't rub out eyes, nose, mouth before washing our hands or sanitize. We use our own pens, take them with us while going to the bank, post office, ect. Don't loan your pen either :). We drink O.J. regularly and keep up on your B-12. Hoping your Christmas is spent with health and happiness.
