How To Create A Learning Game For A One Year Old #GlueNGlitter

I am always pondering new and fun ways to teach Little Bit. Now that he is really getting the hang of walking his speech has really kicked into high gear. This week he learned two new words, uh oh and woohoo. Oh it tickles me to no end to see him learning new things. I was thinking of how I could make up a learning game to expand his vocabulary. I came up with the idea for an index card learning game. Here's how to make this game for your Little Bit.

Materials:
Elmer's trifold board
Scissors
Index Cards
Old Magazines
Magnetic Buttons
Velcro Sticky Backs
Elmer's School Glue

First find images of simple words in your old magazines. Cut them out and glue them to your index cards with Elmer's School Glue .

Next attach one side of the Velcro sticky backs to some of the cards and one side of the magnetic buttons to the rest.

Attach the other side of the Velcro and magnets to the Elmer's trifold board .

That's it! Now let your Little Bit play with their new game.

  4. Very Clever! I use to cut magazine things out and glue them to bottle caps and put them on magnets and let the kids make stories or practice colors and vocabulary too.
