This working thing is harder than I thought. I went into it thinking, WOHOO BABY VACATION! The reality of it is that I miss Little Bit. I miss him so much that it hurts. I look at his face and start remembering the blessed 15 months of his life and the 9 months of waiting for him.
He is napping right now and I am thinking back when Hubs and I found out that we were pregnant. We were in Key West celebrating my graduation. I had a sneaking suspicion I was pregnant. We went to the drug store at the end of Duval Street and got a pregnancy test. We were so excited. We even went to Borders while on vacation in gorgeous Key West and started looking at books on Baby Names. A boy name was the only one we could ever agree on. Little Bit's Baby Name Means Strong Man of God. We never wavered on his name.
I love these memories and I cant wait to make new ones. I think God new I needed a refresher course on my REAL job of loving Little Bit. I gotcha God. I'm grateful again. Can You please make Carla better now so I can quit already?
sweet post. I think if every time we fondly remembered those moments and put a penny in a jar we could pay for at least the first semester of college.

I would really love a follow back on Facebook especially as it is my weak link and I need to get the numbers up before I can do the really good reviews. Thanks for your help and hope you have a great weekend.

I would probably feel the same way. I always thought that part-time working moms had the right idea. A little time with real live talking adults and then still most of the time at home with the kids. But, when it comes right down to it, I'm sure I'd miss them. Although I'm looking forward to my 7 1/2 hours of alone time next year, I'm really gonna miss my kids. Logan will be gone all day next year!!! :( Hope that your friend is able to come back to work soon. Thanks for stopping by the hop again!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm here from a weekend blog hop! Hope you can return the follow sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteI think a baby's name defines them for life. Our little "princess" is literally a princess related name. She thinks she's a princess ;)

ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you. I am a SAHM but I know it's hard to be away from our children. Last year my husband made me go on a women's retreat with our church because he felt I needed some rest away from my kids. I came back even more stress out and tired because I couldn't sleep the whole time I was there because I missed them so much. I was nice to get away but it was even better to come back home.
