Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Last year Hubs and I paid more for health insurance than for our house payment. Crazy, just plain crazy. What makes that worse is the extra money you pay out. Co-pays for doctor visits, Emergency Room visits, and the dreaded prescription drugs.

Little Bit was sick not long ago and we had to get him some penicillin and drops for his pink eye. With our super duper expensive health insurance I still ended up paying over $50 for that tiny bottle of eye drops and that was at Walmart!

What is a Momma to do? Recently, I ran across an incredible savings program that will help me to curb those excessive prescription drug costs. The Walgreens Prescription Savings Club will cost me $35 a year. If I only wanted to sign myself up I would only pay $20 per year. For that I will get saving on better than eight thousand brand name prescription drugs. All of the generic drugs will be discounted! I will also receive a discount on flu shots. There were a few things that I don't use but I thought were pretty cool like savings on nebulizers and diabetic supplies.

The Walgreens Prescription Savings Club doesn't just cover me. I covers all of my immediate family including my pets! Having four dogs is expensive especially when one of them needs medical care. What a relief to know that part of that financial burden will be eased.

I'm ready to go and sign up for the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club! If you would like to know more to see if it right for you and your family check out Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook.

  1. It is really getting ridiculous with the health cost. One certainly can't afford to get sick.
Thanks for sharing the info about this plan.

  2. Wow! That's so great that you found coverage that's so cheap! I'm so glad my health care is all covered in Canada. My prescription drugs are 100% covered by my work and disability but if they weren't would I ever be paying a lot!
